Het netwerkteam van CampZone en The-Party (CCN) zorgt al jaren voor een betrouwbaar en supersnel netwerk. De teamleden bouwen de fysieke fiber-netwerkring over het veld, te zien als de rondlopende hoge “waslijn”, maar ook vooral alle configs voor alle cores en veld switches.

Tijdens CampZone draagt het netwerkteam zorg voor het monitoren en het onderhoud van het netwerk. Met zoveel gebruikers online gebeuren er altijd wel dingen (vaak erg klein) die opgespoord en/of opgelost moeten worden. Bijvoorbeeld mensen met (vaak onbewust) eigen DHCP servers, mensen die bewust verkeerde dingen doen of iemand die per ongeluk een bal tegen de fiber over het activiteiten veld schiet. Het netwerkteam rijdt er wel even met de hoogwerker heen!

The network team of both CampZone and The-Party (CCN) has been taking care of a reliable and high-speed network for years. The team is responsible for building the physical fiber network-ring above the CampZone field. This ring can be seen as the walking ‘clothes line’, but it can also be seen as all the configs for all cores and field switches.

During CampZone, the network team looks after the monitors and the network maintenance. With a huge amount of online users, there are always (mainly little) things that need to be tracked down and/or solved. For instance, some people have (usually subconsciously) their own DHCP servers, some people intentionally do the wrong things, or take this one case where someone accidentally shoots a ball all the way across the activity field against the fiber. It’s the network team who will drive to the location with the lifting ramp!
